“Workplace rights are focus of new Worker Justice Center”

“The common thread was that we were all working with populations for whom economic issues were keeping them from connecting with the larger community,” said Michelle Kennedy, executive director of the Interactive Resource Center, a day center for people experiencing homelessness.

The inability to find or keep a job is what brought many people to the IRC to begin with, so the Worker Justice Center was a logical extension.

“We will never end homelessness until we solve the matter of economic justice,” Kennedy said. “These things are inextricably linked.”News and Record
