Michelle Kennedy Joins City Council Race
Michelle Kennedy, Executive Director of the Interactive Resource Center and City of Greensboro Human Relations Commissioner announced her campaign for Greensboro City Council At-Large today.
Kennedy will fight for economic development that includes a living wage, support investment in neighborhoods and affordable housing, and work to establish transparency and accountability within both the police force and city government .
“I believe that new leadership can better address the challenges that face our city,” she said. “ I understand the power of community and I know that with your help we can build the Greensboro that all our children deserve. I will champion policies that reflect progressive solutions to the challenges that face our city and work to help Greensboro lead by example. I look forward to being a voice working towards affordability and inclusion for our entire community. “
Kennedy, 42 has two children – Damian, a 2017 graduate of Grimsley High School and Maddie, a rising 4th grader at New Garden Friends School. They reside in Lindley Park.
